Gas Price Review - Week Ending September 5, 2005
This week, oil prices closed down from last week's high of US$70 mark for a barrel of Oil. In Jamaica protests are the cards as Jamaicans are expected to express angry at the rising cost of living. With Katrina put many refineries off line the US government has tapped into the oil reserves and this as resulted in the reduction on the supply shortfall. Other oil producing countries opted to release reserves so as to assist the United States at this time. As a result the coming week should see some reductions in the prices of gasoline at the pumps. I would not fill up after the price break this Wednesday. Average Prices

These are vehicles that run on a combination of different energy sources and provide less reliance on fossil fuels. Maybe it is time that Jamaicans are given tax breaks to purchase these vehicles.
